A mother. Her son. One dirt lot in Ensenada.
Today, they live in a tarp-and-metal shelter pieced together from what the neighborhood could spare.
When the rain comes down off the Ensenada hills, the walls don't hold it out. When the wind picks up, it pulls at the seams. Her son plays in the same dirt where their new home will one day stand.
They were chosen because they showed up. Because the mother has done the quiet, invisible work of holding her family together — and because a permanent home is the one thing she cannot build alone.
On May 3rd, 2026,this dirt lot becomes their home.

Get your hands dirty, literally. Alongside your team, you'll build a home from the ground up for a family who never thought they'd have one. Between builds, engage in community service and transformative Break Free workshops. This is where transformation happens.
